Arsenal v Aston Villa – PREVIEW
Arsenal welcome Aston Villa to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday (15 May) for the final game of the 2015/16 campaign, which has seen the latter relegated to the Championship, while the Gunners have let slip one of their best chances of winning the Premier League with a poor run in the second-half of the season.
Arsene Wenger’s team can secure a place in the top three with a draw at home against Villa, who are currently without a manager. Erik Black has been in-charge following the sacking of Remi Garde, but their fortunes have failed to improve as they were relegated following a loss to Manchester United on 16 April.
The Gunners can still finish second, if they win and Tottenham Hotspur lose, but it is unlikely to happen as the White Hart Lane outfit face Newcastle United, who were also relegated when Sunderland beat Everton on Tuesday (10 May).
Jack Wilshere could make his first start of the season after making substitute appearances against Sunderland and Manchester City, while Santi Cazorla could also feature after coming through successfully with the U21’s during their win over the Villa reserves in the U21 division 2 playoffs.
