Bayern Munich To Rival Manchester United For Nelson Semedo
Reports are out claiming that Manchester United face Bayern Munich competition for Benfica fullback Nelson Semedo.
The Sun claims that Semedo has been strongly linked with an Old Trafford switch as doubts remain over the future of Matteo Darmian.
Jose Mourinho is keen to ensure there’s competition available for Antonio Valencia and has apparently identified Semedo as the ideal man for the job.
However, O Jogo says Bayern are also keen on Semedo.
Current right-backs Philipp Lahm and Rafinha are aged 33 and 31 respectively, and both have just 18 months remaining on their current contracts.
Lahm plans to retire once his deal expires at the Allianz Arena and Carlo Ancelotti wants to make sure Bayern have a replacement waiting in the wings.
