Everton Unhappy With Chelsea’s Pursuit Of Romelu Lukaku
It has been reported that Everton are believed to be incensed by Chelsea’s unrelenting pursuit of Romelu Lukaku.
A report in the Daily Mail suggests that the Toffees are taking a similar stance on the striker as they did when Chelsea incessantly pursued John Stones last summer.
Ronald Koeman has no plans to offload Lukaku this summer and in a bid to ward off the Londoners, the Toffees have placed a price tag of £75million on his head.
Reports have indicated that Chelsea have offer £65m, plus Loic Remy, but Everton are yet to hear from Antonio Conte’s club.
Belgium international Lukaku is stirring for a possible move back to Stamford Bridge, or to another big club, but Everton are eager to tie him down to a new long-term deal as they see him as a player to build the team around for the next 5-10 years.
Everton feel Chelsea are attempting to unsettle the 23-year-old and the Goodison Park outfit have responded by making it clear that they will refuse to sell.
Lukaku is a wanted man having become just the fifth player in Premier League history to score 50 goals while under the age of 23, joining an esteemed group in Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen.
