Renato Sanches To Become Bayern Munich’s Most Expensive Player
Reports have emerged claiming that Portugal international Renato Sanches is about the become Bayern Munich’s most expensive player – if he makes one more appearance for the Bavarian outfit.
The 19-year old moved to the Allianz from Benfica in the summer for a deal worth £30million. The current record fee for Bayern is £33million which they used for Javi Martinez, however the deal for Sanches will reportedly rise up to £67million when clauses in his contract are met.
Unfortunately for Bayern, they have come sooner rather than later. According to Bild, Benfica are entitled to a £4million reward if Sanches plays 25 matches this season, which he will have done come Sunday when Bayern face off against Darmstadt 98 – if manager Carlo Ancelotti plays him.
Bayern have already been crowned Bundesliga champions, and they will now have to make the decision of whether to bench Sanches or play him. If they do put him on the pitch at any point, the 19-year old wonder kid will surpass Javi Martinez as Bayern’s most expensive player.
